1. It is suggested that this so-called adhesive arachnitis maybe a complication of a primary traumatic leptomeningitis with an exudative inflammation and subsequent hyalinization and collagenization of proteinrich, inflammatory exudates.

2. The results obtained on a series of 39 subjects aged from 53 to 102 showed various alterations, such as thickening of the tunica albuginea and basal membrane and intertubule hyalinization.
